The National Day on February 25 and the Liberation Day on February 26 are the two most significant days in Kuwait. Kuwaitis commemorate these days with festiviites and somber reflection as they celebrate Kuwait becoming a nation in 1961 and the reminder of 605 Kuwaiti citizens still missing from the Iraqi invasion and occupation.
